Where are 2-Dimensional Objects in Our Daily Life?
Are the objects we are exposed to almost every moment of our daily lives really three-dimensional? Or are we exposed to objects or shapes with other dimensions? If so, what is the impact of this on our lives?
The vast majority of our daily lives, almost all of them, consist of objects. The dimensions of these objects can also change our perception. In mathematics, dimensions are parameters used to describe the position and properties of an object in space. First of all, it is useful to clarify dimensions if this situation goes down to our perceptions. On the other hand, the explanation of dimensions requires an explanation of the concepts of “coordinates” and “space”.
One Dimensional Objects
You may think of the “dot”, which almost everyone will guess, but the dot is not one-dimensional. A point has no dimension, so we can say it is “0-dimensional”.
A 0-dimensional object is a point with no length, height or fineness.
So, if you ask how one-dimensional ones are formed, you can think of it as a structure formed by a set of points. In other words;
A one-dimensional object is a line or line segment that has a length but no other properties.
